Video Booth Activation Enhances Marketing for ‘Journey to Paradisios’

While it’s not quite rooftop weather yet, Macy’s is ushering in spring to New York with their annual Flower Show! For two weeks (March 24-April 7) the Herald Square flagship will be overgrown with extravagant living displays for shoppers to explore. This year’s otherworldly theme, Journey to Paradisios, incorporates eccentric designs and a few extraterrestrial surprises into the floral fantasy. Instead of shoe and make up departments, shoppers feel as though they’re passing through different galaxies of the Macy’s Universe!

Of course, we’re not just mentioning the Macy’s Flower Show because it’s a must-see #backdropinspo extravaganza. Shake and Share was actually asked to bring our In-Motion Video Booth to help celebrate spring fashions during the show! When designing this video booth, we wanted to fully embrace the cosmic theme. We used some of the Paradisios graphics to create an out-of-this-world backdrop that would put shoppers floating in space. And how, you ask, did we achieve said “floating” illusion? Well, curious reader; WE BROUGHT A TRAMPOLINE. With props in-hand, we had people bouncing amongst planets for the camera! And our on-site editor (standard with the In-Motion Booth) added just the right amount of slow-mo to suspend gravity for the shot!

One thing that we’ve always loved about Macy’s is that they try very hard to create unique and memorable experiences for their shoppers. It’s the kind of experiential marketing that builds lifetime relationships and a positive identity for the company. We’re hoping that many, many more brands take advantage of the value an event with Shake and Share Media can add to their business!
